As Vice President, Director of Investment Consulting, Jorge Friguls plays an integral role in supporting CapAcuity’s growth strategies and enhancing the overall client experience as we continue to grow our institutional client base. He provides investment consultation to clients, both those that are hedge-centric and those who have retained us for menu construction, manager evaluation and asset allocation. He also participates in client reviews that include an investment component. Deepening our engagement with clients on investment matters while maintaining our strong focus on research, he helps ensure both our investment philosophy and culture of client service excellence remain best-in-class.
With over 20 years of experience as an investment consultant and fiduciary advisor for institutional clients, Jorge was previously a senior institutional advisor at Mariner Institutional (formerly AndCo Consulting) where he was responsible for optimizing portfolios and developing investment policy guidelines for clients. Prior to that, he served as a senior investment consultant at Newport, an Ascensus Company, managing fiduciary investment and governance processes and facilitating the development of asset allocation and hedge strategies for institutional clients.
Jorge earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation; earned the Nonqualified Plan Consultant (NQPC) designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA); and holds a Series 65 registration.
