David Stecher has over 25 years of experience driving efficiencies for non-qualified plan sponsors and participants—focusing on plan design, cost-efficient funding of plan liabilities, communication and education, and administration.
Dave currently serves as Managing Director with CapAcuity, where he consults with plan sponsors to provide creative and cost-effective solutions to address the changing executive benefit plan landscape. Dave collaborates with plan sponsors as they navigate the impact of new corporate tax laws that affect how plans are funded; reductions in investment product costs that impact plan sponsors and participants; increased expectations for vendor pricing transparency; and heightened focus on regulatory compliance. Additionally, he is actively involved in expanding the firm’s distribution partnerships and strategic initiatives.
Prior to CapAcuity, Dave served as a managing director, executive benefits consulting for NFP Retirement and its sister company Retirement Plan Advisory Group (RPAG). Previously he was executive vice president for Retirement Capital Group, tax and auditing accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick, and EVP and head of West Coast operations for AXA Advisors’ Executive Benefits Group.
Dave received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware, and his master’s degree in taxation from Widener University in Philadelphia. Dave holds Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and 24 registrations. He is a prolific writer on industry issues, and the past chair of numerous civic organizations.
