Brian Schmidt

Client Service Consultant

As Client Service Consultant, Brian Schmidt is responsible for managing all aspects of the CapAcuity client experience, which includes the development of service calendars and the fulfillment of ongoing service deliverables. Brian leads the coordination, preparation, and delivery of annual plan review meetings and ongoing funding analyses. In this role he collaborates closely with our consulting and implementation teams to maintain our high-touch relationships with clients—as well as with intermediary advisors, third party administrators and other service providers.

Brian has over 10 years of experience working in the non-qualified executive benefit space—most recently as a service delivery manager for Conduent, responsible for plan recordkeeping, enrollments, reporting, and trust rebalances. Previously Brian was a senior plan administrator with Newport Group, managing over fifty deferred compensation plans including contributions, distributions, and stock deferrals, as well as annual open enrollments. He also worked for Bank of New York Mellon as an accounting and reporting supervisor.

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
